Frazier, Tyson, Dempsey, and Liston all had great left hooks.

              best left!

Corrie "the sniper" Sanders, not only is is left hand monstorous, but he is also deceptively quick. Check this ,http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YxeLt_BWm_M, these are some of his knockouts.

Best left hook ever thrown was Ray Robinson on Gene Fullmer.

Joe Frazier said, in his own book, that every punch he threw was simply to set up a left hook. He had a very dramatic left hook, but I don't know if it was the best for heavyweights. Certainly one that put you on the edge of your seat when he wound up for it, though!

Tyson's was consistently menacing, though I think that his right uppercut was just as mean as his left hook. His threat lied in combinations from either hand more than just an amazing left.

Liston had a rediculous jab from the left hand, that's for sure. It was half a mile long and powerful.

Outside of the heavies I find that Robinson, on average, was simply the best. His left hand was strong, fast, and accurate.
