So basically, nobody knew who Ray Close was before the Eubank fights (Eubank's fights were watched more than FA Cup finals, World Cup finals, Grand Nationals etc - 16 million on ITV (UK channel), and he had the highest global viewing figures in boxing ever outside of Ali). And he's not remembered because he was basically 'just another opponent' of Eubank's.
