looking for "kid Irish" info

I'm looking for information about my great uncle's boxing career. "Kid Irish" Chiolero of Sawyerville, IL. He was a featherweight in the 1930's. An old clip I have says he was on a Springfield team fighting in the Golden Gloves contest in Chicago in March 1930. He fought two guys named Capitano and Mullin. I think he lived in the Chicago area most of his adult life. Any info would be appreciated.

I looked through the news archives and could only find but one reference to him, and it was in the Sept 30th, 1938, Edwardsville Intelligencer...The article states that your great aunt was sueing a promoter by the name of Max Greenfield, because apparently Mr. Greenfield had a written agreement to pay living expenses for your great uncle's family while he was down under fighting in Australia, and didn't honour it fully (the articles states Greenfield paid one installment of $100 to the family while "Kid Irish" was away, but didn't come through on the other payments that he agreed to).

P.S. Found one other brief mention of him from the same paper dated Feb 21st, 1940, and it says that he filed for bankruptcy on that day in Alton Illinois.

My father, Leon Benjey, worked at the Owens-Illinois Glass Company machine shop in Alton starting in 1950. He continued working there when the shop moved to a new building in Godfrey in 1957 (I think). He retired in 1976 or 1977. He told me that one of his coworkers had been a boxer who fought under the name "Kid Irish." If I recall correctly, the other men called him Irish or Kid Irish as nicknames were often used. Dad was Shorty. Two brothers who worked there were called Clean Schneider and Dirty Schneider in reference to their hygiene. I worked there one summer as a clean-up boy but don't recall meeting Kid Irish. He could have worked on the other shift, the one Dad was on. I wish I had more to tell you but knowing where he worked after WWII might lead to other information about him.
