Boxer or Slugger?

It really depends on my mood and probably the fighter. I have no problem watching two guys slug it out in a war, or watch one guy outbox the other. One example that comes to mind is Wright-Trinidad.

What matters to me is the guy fights to win and will go for the knockout if it's available to him. Guys like Mayweather who fight just to get the win, or even worse just to survive, and don't go the extra mile to really TAKE the fight don't do it for me.

I like strong willed fighters more than any specific style. Whether its a boxer like Joey Maxim or SRR, a pressure fighter like Frazier or Dempsey, or a slugger like Margarito or Foreman, I like guys who come to win from the opening bell.

With that being said, I always like a guy who can punch.

I love sluggers, atleast the ones i like. On average, i like sluggers more than boxers because they're more exciting. And like someone said, it really depends on the mood you're in. Who the hell would want to watch the wild swinging amature that a prime Foreman was, every day.

I grew up watching Ali, so I"m naturally biased towards boxers.....but do love the sluggers as well. What's not to love?

A Michael Moorer @ LT HW was awesome to watch. He had a great jab and could drop the nukes so fast it was sometimes shocking. Michael Spinks was fun to watch too. He would box looking for the opening's then drop the Spinks Jinxs right hand.

Some boxers i love, some i dont like.
Some sluggers are great to watch, but some, wen faced with a superior boxer look very poor.

So to me, its all about specific fighters. Every fighter has their own style.
