I don't know alot about LL, but IMO his speed, and size wouldn't help all that much against a weaving combination 80's Tyson. Be interesting none the less.

          i'd favour lewis very slightly

lewis only got hurt when he was unfocused. when he was focused he could take a punch, no granite chin but ok.

i no its no excuse but IMO lewis is not gonna be unfocused against tyson

he will do what he did in the first 2 rounds hell punch from range then grab tyson before he has chance to do anything
this stategy may work or he may get knoced out along the way

Seriously though, I think it's a tossup. Prime Tyson was an amazing force of nature, but even then he had some problems with tall guys with good jabs (Mitch Green, Tony Tucker). Prime Lewis (around the time he beat Golota) was big, strong, smart and skilled. Would Mike have gotten to him? My guess is if he didn't do it by round 3, Lewis' superior size would've worn him down.

Doulgass was much better than McCall and Rahman. In fact i think he did infact beat McCall sometime before he fought Tyson.

Anything is possible. But it took ten rounds for Douglas to get Tyson. Lewis's chin would betray him long before his size advantage came into play.

Uh, calling Douglas much better than McCall or Rahman is quite a stretch. But I will say this - his beating of Tyson was one of the most inspired performances I've ever seen: he was definitely on that night.

At any rate, my point was really you can't judge fighters by their off nights. Tyson had an off night against Douglas, and Lewis had a couple against Rahman and McCall...
