End of discussion, may not have all been in their prime but they were the best there was to offer.
Felix showing against Whitaker was better. ODLH should have stayed at 140 and built a legacy and that is all I am saying.

If you think ODLH beat Sturm you are delusional. Whitaker could have got the nod being the champ. Leija was too small, Camacho was Felix leftovers and spent, Paez don't make me laugh, Carr was Felix leftovers and Chavez was spent also. ODLH best win was against Quartey IMO and I thought Oscar deserved the nod against Felix I will give you that.

        Kid,

Two summers ago I flew out to Halifax (where the Trailer Park Boys is based) from Toronto to instruct at a hockey school. While in Halifax I took my two sons up Citadel Hill which is the main road in downtown Halifax. It's also the spot the Trailer Park Boys shot the scene where they are waiting in line to buy Rush tickets. Citadel hill is pretty steep and I took a breather on a bench and I was explaining to my oldest son (whose a Trailer Park Boys fan) that this is where that scene was shot. The guy beside me says "Yeah that's a pretty good show." I turned around and it was Sam Lasco the hot dog eating veterinarian from the show! I had my camera with me and asked Sam if I could have a picture with me, him and my oldest son. I asked a passerby and he took the picture of the three of us together.

When I got the picture developed there's me and my son wearing big **** eating grins and Sam giving the camera the middle finger salute!

(And by history I mean decades upon decades ago, not the 1990's MW division, Geoff.)

Damn, I forgot Rockin'? Rockin' too is another smart member of the scene in my opinion. He has the experience that some only dream of and that goes a long way.

I'm not saying he won every one of them fights, because he didn't.. I'm just pointing out that he wasn't a PROTECTED fighter, he ducked nobody.

                *ahem*

...and would have been the rightful successor to Jim Lahey's drunken reign as Trailor Park Supervisor if he hadn't been doped and publicly embarrassed by Ricky Mc****up.

                Good story.

I will change my opinion to overrated and not protected. Looking at it logically he could have faced no better competition. He fought everyone available except a few like Lopez at 147 who would have been a test if he could have kept his **** straight.

my favorite part with sam is when he's roasting those hot dogs to give to barb lahey and bubbles comes and says " my cats were licking the **** out of those hot dogs " after she takes a bite and swallows

the whitaker who faced tito was a shadow of the whitaker oscar faced

it is like comparing foreman and leon spinks based on their ali fight.

i agree that 140 was probably the smallest weight oscar could have made with no trouble, and hence the one he would have been best at. But I would not have seen Oscar get upin the 12th round against Quartey, which was a great moment regardless of the scorecards you/I/anyone had.
