I'm trying to find the one of Dempsey sitting down with Harry Wills as they sign the dotted lines for their fight (that never ended up happening unfortunately). You can get a good look at his mitts and they are huge. Also if you have A Flame of Pure Fire by Roger Kahn, check out the pic of Dempsey clenching his fist in front of the heavy bag. His hands were disproportionately huge.

Actually Rubin Carter apparently had ridiculously huge hands for his size, just like the G-man. Luis Firpo was also reported to have HUGE hands, but he was just a massive guy all around.
