Comebacking former two division world champion Felix Sturm comes in, as previously reported, back to action on December 19 in Cologne (Germany). It's now been announced by Universum and BILD that the opponent will be unbeaten but untested German Timo Rost (10-0-2).

For Sturm it will be his first fight since 2016 when he beat Fedor Chudinov in a rematch. Sturm lost their first fight - and it must be said that Felix, real name Adnan Catic, looked more than a little bit like a fighter near the end of a long career.

At 41 Sturm is now ready to go at it again but how much he has left is of course an open question. At his peak the German-Bosnian was always in excellent condition, had very fast hands but always lacked punching power.

In Rost he faces a fighter who is said to be talented but who's untested and has never been near a fight at this level. The best result on his record is a draw with Dutchman Gino Kanters (8-3-2) but Timo Rost is possibly also the best opponent available given the current situation with COVID-19.

The fight is made at 77.5 kg / 170.8 lbs.

Italian heavyweight Ermanno Festorazzi has passed away at the age of 81. Festorazzi had a good amateur career and started out well in the pros in the mid 1960's as well but became a decent journeyman and was often seen in the Nordic countries where he started with a knockout win over Raimo Nisula in Sweden but then lost to Harald Skog in Norway, Hans Jorgen Jacobsen in Denmark, Boston Jacobs in Sweden and Timo Ahola in Finland .

He compiled a record of 9-19-4 before retiring in 1975.

Super lightweight Anthony "Can You Dig It" Yigit (24-1-1) is now in Miami, FL, and in full training. Yigit took part in the latest (last?) World Boxing Super Series tournament but was stopped by Ivan Baranchyk in a fight that was also for the vacant IBF title.

In his last fight - in 2019 - the former EBU champ beat Mohammed Khalladi - a result that looks real good now considering that Khalladi has five straight wins since then and has won two regional IBF belts.

As for the next fight for the Swede it's still not announced.
