Brighton’s Chris Eubank Sr. may have been retired since 1998 yet the 51-year-old showed he still is adept defensively by allegedly tricking traffic wardens by placing a phony ticket on his expensive Bentley in order to fool them into thinking he had already been served.
The former WBO middleweight and Super middleweight titlist parked up on London’s Saville row and eyewitnesses claim that he placed a ticket on his own car before heading to the Cad and Dandy tailors shop. Eubank was then spotted removing the ticket before driving away, saving himself a grand total of £4.90 for up to an hour’s parking.
“It was definitely a yellow parking ticket wrapper, which might make a warden think twice before issuing a ticket,” said a witness when speaking to The Sun. “If he can afford to shop in one of London's most fashionable streets, why didn't he pay to park there?”
Photos also showed that Eubank has taken to wearing a police badge on his shirt, which will come as no surprise to those who have marvelled at his fashion choices throughout the years.
The Sun also reported that Westminster Council will investigate the matter, and that Eubank’s spokesman said the former fighter is away and not available for comment.
