EBU middleweight champion Matteo Signani (29-5-3) makes a voluntary defence of the title March 21 in Caen (France) against Frenchman Maxime Beaussire (29-2-1). This is the first defence of the title for the 40-year old veteran who won it with an upset decision over Dutchman Gevork Khatichikian.
For Beaussire it´s second crack at the title after losing to Sergio Garcia at superwelter in 2018. He has since scored three wins.
The event is promoted by EuroPromo headed by Gerard Teysseron.
Hungarian promoter and manager Felix Racz, as BoxingScene previously reported, announced his retirement but he is not leaving boxing. He is now a supervisor for the IBO and had his first assignment in Hamburg this past weekend where Sebastian Formella defended the IBO title against Roberto Arrizaga.
