Euro News: Landeata-Braehmer, Kabayel-Dimitrenko, Ngabu

By Per Ake Persson

EBU lightweight champ Edis Tatli will defend the title against mandatory challenger Marvin Petit of France on August 11 on the annual show in Savonlinna in Eastern Finland.

There was to have been purse bids on Thursday, but the parties involved reached an agreement.

Tatli regained the title earlier this year with a points win over Francesco Patera but broke his hand and have been out of the ring since then.
World Factory Event came in with the only bid today in Rome - and Ronny Landeata and none other than Juergen Braehmer will go for the vacant EU super middleweight title on August 25 in Malaga. There? no word on if the former world champ actually will go through with the fight.

Anthony Yigit´s mandatory defence of the EBU 140 lb crown against Frenchman Franck Petitjean have now been set for November 17 in Levallois Perret (France). The fight was first set for May 5 but was postponed by MK Events, who won purse bids with a bid for 50 000 Euro.

However, it´s very much likely that Yigit-Petitjean won´t come off as "Can You Dig It" Yigit have other plans - nothing is officially confirmed but the highly ranked Swede is very likely one of the participants in the WBSS super lightweight tournament.

EBU featherweight champ Marc Vidal and former IBF super bantamweight king Kiko Martinez will do it again and the EBU have set July 2 as deadline for purse bids or agreements. Their first fight ended in a controversial technical draw with Martinez on top. Vidal was cut but there appeared to be no ruling on what had caused it and when it was stopped a draw was declared..

Purse bids for Agit Kabayel´s mandatory defence of the EBU heavyweight title Alexander Dimitrenko has been postponed from June 14 until June 29. Kabayel is promoted by SES while Dimitrenko have a contract with EC Boxing.

EBU cruiserweight champion Yves Ngabu will now defend the title against Noel Gevor in September. When Team Sauerland won purse bids it was announced by the EBU that the fight would go ahead on June 29 but no show was ever announced by Team Sauerland for that date.
I prefer this to him getting a rematch against Pulev in an IBF eliminator
Definitely... Kabayel should be in there with Pulev instead but he needs another win or 2.

I really like this fellew Kabayel, But if he's real serious about progressing then he needs to fight in the UK where the major purses are. So how about Tony Bellew, Hughie Fury or Joe Joyce?....
