Yordenis Ugas and his team are well aware that they’ll encounter a fresher, stronger, taller, younger opponent than Manny Pacquiao on April 16.

Ismael Salas surprisingly stated Wednesday that he doesn’t think the same Errol Spence Jr. that beat Shawn Porter 2½ years ago still exists. Yordenis Ugas’ trainer bluntly told Premier Boxing Champions’ Ray Flores at his gym in Las Vegas that Spence’s car accident in October 2019 noticeably changed the undefeated southpaw for the worse. Spence defeated Danny Garcia convincingly in their 12-round fight nearly 14 months later, but Salas saw a diminished Spence in that fight for his IBF and WBC welterweight titles at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

The world welterweight champion of the World Boxing Organization (WBO), Terence "Bud" Crawford (38-0, 29 KOs), is hoping to face the winner of next month's WBC, IBF, WBA unification showdown between Errol Spence and Yordenis Ugas.

Fans can once again expect to pay a premium price to watch unified WBC/IBF welterweight titlist Errol Spence. The latest Pay-Per-View headliner is far more incentivized for consumers. BoxingScene.com has confirmed that a suggested retail price of $74.99 has been set for the April 16 Showtime PPV, headlined by the WBC/IBF/WBA welterweight title unification bout between Spence and Yordenis Ugas (27-4, 12KOs) at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Errol Spence Jr. believes the likelihood of making the much anticipated fight with Terence Crawford has never been greater than now.

So long as the price is right, no fight apparently is off limits for Errol Spence Jr., even if that fight happens to involve a close friend. On the DAZN Boxing Show, Spence, the IBF and WBC welterweight titleholder from Desoto, Texas, was asked if he would have any interest in fighting his fellow Texan and close training stablemate Jermall Charlo, the WBC, WBA, and IBF 154-pound titlist.

Showtime and Premier Boxing Champions announced a much-discussed spring and early-summer schedule Tuesday. The loaded slate of fights includes seven PBC cards that’ll air live on Showtime and two Showtime Pay-Per-View events, which will feature Errol Spence Jr. and Gervonta “Tank” Davis. From March 26 through July 9, the PBC/Showtime schedule will be highlighted by seven world championship matches, including two title unification fights, and three title eliminators.

WBC and IBF world champion Errol “The Truth” Spence is predicting fireworks for his upcoming welterweight unification with WBA world champion Yordenis Ugas.

Unified junior middleweight titlist Jermell Charlo wasn’t about to let Terence Crawford get away with comments he perceived as insolent and arrogant without offering up his own mouthful of invective.
