Erickson Lubin: record, next fight and profile →
ATLANTA – This was nothing like Gervonta Davis’ previous trip to the scale the day before a main event at State Farm Arena. Davis made the 140-pound limit on his first attempt Friday afternoon for his 12-round title fight against Mario Barrios. The significantly taller Barrios also made weight on his initial try for their Showtime Pay-Per-View main event Saturday night.
ATLANTA – Erickson Lubin had no interest in a tune-up fight. Lubin is already the WBC’s number one contender for one of Jermell Charlo’s championships. He could’ve chosen a safer opponent as he attempts to remain in position for another shot at the WBC’s 154-pound crown.

By Keith Idec - Gervonta Davis’ move up to the 140-pound division is official. Premier Boxing Champions and Showtime announced Thursday that the undefeated Davis will meet Mario Barrios in a Showtime Pay-Per-View main event June 26 at a site to be determined. The four-fight show also will include an intriguing 12-round, 154-pound bout between former IBF/IBO/WBA champ Jeison Rosario and Erickson Lubin.
Last week, BoxingScene.com's Keith Idec broke the news that former champion Jeison "Banana" Rosario (20-2-1) and former title challenger Erickson "The Hammer" Lubin (23-1) had agreed to terms for a late spring showdown. The fight will be broadcast by Showtime with the date likely falling in May or June.
Erickson Lubin and Jeison Rosario have agreed to meet in a high-stakes junior middleweight fight. BoxingScene.com has learned that Showtime will televise the 12-round, 154-pound bout between Lubin and Rosario, although the date and the site for their fight have not been determined. The premium cable network has not announced any boxing broadcasts beyond its April 10 show, which will feature welterweights Jaron Ennis and Sergey Lipinets in the main event from Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut.
