Since turning professional at the start of 2017, 20-year-old Daniel Dubois has done his talking in the ring.
This Saturday he takes on Tom Little for the vacant English Heavyweight Title live on BoxNation, and Little has been goading the Londoner ever since the fight was announced.
Little had previously boasted how he would take Dubois "into deep water and drown him". During Wednesday's final press conference the usually quiet and considered young man finally responded.
"I don’t like or dislike Tom, but I am ready to do the business. I am prepared to ?ght whether it ends in the ?rst round or last," he said in his opening remarks.
Addressing Little directly, Dubois added: "Tom is a weak man mentally and I will show that. You're nothing!"
Dubois has picked up the Southern Area belt and WBC Youth World Title after just seven fights, but Little warned that he will present a whole new challenge at The O2.
"I’m much more than a four day notice man coming to pick up a paycheck. I will be drilling that rib cage and I will drown Daniel very slowly. I should have bought him armbands. He is going to get welcomed to a man’s world. This ?ght is way too early for Daniel.
"I am not the superstar and have zero pressure. He is the one who has got to impress. When it gets down and dirty I will be the tougher. I’ve dreamt of this chance and will not put it to waste," warned the Hatfield man.
