Heavyweight contender Dillian Whyte has lashed out at two-division world champion David Haye.
This coming Saturday night at the O2 Arena in London, Whyte will collide with former WBO world champion Joseph Parker.
Parker is coming off a twelve round unanimous decision loss at the hands of WBA, WBO, IBF, IBO unified king Anthony Joshua in Cardiff, Wales.
Haye retired from the sport a few weeks ago, after suffering a one-sided knockout loss in his rematch with Tony Bellew in May.
Whyte has become angered, that Haye would open the doors of his gym and assist a foreign fighter like Parker - instead of showing his support for the home boxer.
It's not that first time where Whyte and Haye had exchanged unpleasant words in the press. In the past, Whyte had made attempts to secure a showdown with Haye with no success.
"David is a scumbag. He’s a piece of turd. He’s not very patriotic is he?” Whyte said to IFL TV.
“It’s all about David, isn’t it? It’ll be funny to see what he does now without the limelight now he’s retired. I used to like David. He never said anything nice about anyone. As a person he thinks he’s better than everyone. He thinks he’s a higher class and that is how he’s always been.
“I’ve called him out before for a fight and he keeps slagging me off. David is what David is, he’s a bit of a media whore and that is what it is. [He’s had a] very good career. One of the best fighters to come out of England, I just think he’s a punk, I don’t respect him. But I respect what he’s done in the ring.
“Great champion, good speed, very good athleticism, looks a million dollars. I respect him for what he’s done.”
