Nearly 2,000 people gathered at the Bell Centre in Montreal to witness junior welterweight contender Dierry Jean (20-0) put together a dominated ten round unanimous decision over seasoned veteran Francisco Lorenzo (37-11-0), with scores of 100-88, 99-89 and 98-90. Lorenzo was decked in the first and ninth rounds of the contest. The fight headlined the first card in the new season of the Fast and Furious series.

"Dierry showed something in this fight that can not be taught in the gyms. He showed us that he had great skills. We are extremely proud of him," said promoter Yvon Michel after the fight. He also confirmed the young sensation will return to the ring in January.

On the same card, Eleider Alvarez (6-0-0) stopped Michael Walchuk (9-5-0) within six after Walchuk injured his hand and couldn't continue any further.

Manolis Plaitis (17-1-1) showed good qualities against Latvian pugilistic Arvydas Trizno (9-14-2), and won a unanimous decision after a hard fought battle.

Ghislain Maduma (5-0-0) fought a good battle with a strong opponent, Jevgenijs Kirillos (7-12-1), and won a unanimous decision.

Tyler Asselstine (7-0-0) dominated Mexican Isaac Bejarano (9-12-1), recording the win by TKO at 1:45 of the fourth round.

At heavyweight, Oscar Rivas (7-0-0) needed only a good right hand to overcome Edgars Kalnars (21-24-0), knocking him out at 1:25 of the first round.

Finally, Didier Bence (3-0-0) won a unanimous decision over Pavel Dolgov (8-15-2).
