WBA interim-super flyweight champion David "Tornado" Sanchez (26-2-2, 20KOs) will return on February 14 in Tepic, Nayarit, against former world champion Juan Alberto "Topo" Rosas (40-8, 28KOs). Rosas is very experienced fighter and has never been stopped inside the distance. Last April he upset previously undefeated Alejandro Gonzalez Jr. with a nine round technical decision.

Sanchez was recently honored as the "2014 Best Boxer of The Year" by the Commission of Boxing and Wrestling in Sonora. He captured the WBA's international super flyweight title in January with a fourth round knockout of Marco Demecillo. He came back in May to win the WBA interim title with a twelve round decision of Breilor Teran and had one more fight in late August, stopping Anuary Salas in five.
