Eddie Hearn is planning a return to Liverpool in the New Year.

He will be back at the ECHO Arena on March 30, with David Price heavily rumoured to be back in action on the card.

Price was last in action just last weekend at the O2 Arena when he stopped Tom Little inside four rounds on the undercard of Dillian Whyte’s 11th-round knockout victory over Dereck Chisora in their heavyweight rematch in London.

And Boxing Scene understands that Hearn, who has given Price two other opportunities this year against Alexander Povetkin and Sergey Kuzmin respectively, wants the 35-year-old former British and Commonwealth champion to box on the card.

Hearn’s last outing at the venue was back in April when Amir Khan returned from a lengthy hiatus with a 39-second win over Phil Lo Greco.

Craig Glover, Tom Farrell and Anthony Fowler, who all got wins on that aforementioned Khan-Lo Greco undercard, could well feature on the bill at the end of the first quarter of 2019.

Fowler could fight Scott Fitzgerald, his fellow Commonwealth Games gold medal winner, in a tasty battle of unbeaten fighters in the super-welterweight division, potentially for the vacant Commonwealth title.

The show will be screened exclusively live on Sky Sports in the UK and DAZN Stateside.

Further details regarding the card will be revealed in due course.
