DAVID PRICE will be back in action in a couple of months.
The heavyweight, 34, was stopped by Alexander Povetkin in March, exclusively live on Sky Sports Box Office.
Price was battling the WBA Inter-Continental and WBO International heavyweight champion at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff and rocked him before being knocked out in the fifth round.
Many urged Price to retire in the wake of his last defeat, but he has decided to go again.
“I’m made up to be back,” Price said. “I’ve got my mojo back and I’m in love with boxing again.
“I really enjoyed the fight and the occasion last time out and although my next fight won’t be on the scale of the Povetkin fight, it’ll be a step back towards the big time.”
And going again will begin with an appearance on an MTK Manchester card on July 27 at the Macron Stadium in Bolton.
“A lot of inspiration has come from the fans. It’s really giving me such a boost. When you receive the support I have –– especially after a defeat –– it’s heartwarming and I’m excited to lace up the gloves again.”
There has been nothing more revealed at this stage, but further information will be disclosed in due course.
