David Avanesyan has agreed a deal to replace Cody Crowley and will take on IBF welterweight champion, Jaron Ennis, in Philadelphia on July 13th.
The former WBA welterweight world champion and European 147lb king steps into the breach after Crowley was ruled out after failing a pre-fight eye exam.
The all action Avanesyan, 30-4-1 (18 KOs), performed well before going down to a sixth round defeat to pound for pound talent, Terence Crawford, in December 2022 and the Armenian leapt at the opportunity to face the highly regarded Ennis, 31-0 (28 KOs). Avanesyan, 35, is already in England where he will prepare with his long time trainer, Carl Greaves, in Newark.
"I'd like to thank Matchroom and my manager Neil Marsh for this great opportunity," Avanesyan told BoxingScene. "I do not need asking twice to have a war with somebody, especially a fighter as highly rated as Jaron Ennis.
"I really respect Ennis and think he could become one of the best. I promise we will find out just how good he could become on July 13th."

This whole Boots Ennis signing has been a complete debacle. Hearn signs Boits and then realizes he has nothing on his roster for him so he immediately tur s around and starts begging PBC fighters to bail him out. Now he finds an inferior Russian guy who we just saw take a heart stopping KO to Bud Crawford. Boots vs the Russian guy on Dazn will not sell for shyte. Boots should be on A.azon Prime headline shows where he unifying with Mario Barrios and Stantionis which would have led to a undisputed showdown vs Brian Norman Jr. FUQ DAZN!
Only problem is barrios got out of fighting boots and fought maidanas little brother instead . Stanionis didn't want the fight, and bud koed avanysan with no padding in his tampered blow out glove, you don't get points for that in my book.

Where did I say this was a bad fight? I said that his past opposition has been soft, I didn't criticize Avanesyan in any way.
Well you can't make people like bud and spence get in the ring with you, I mean he was their mandatory.
He tried to fight thurman, barrios, crowley, ugas, stanionis, butiev idk what you want from the guy. They all say they rather get a belt and make more money fighting him in a unification

Bozy Ennis would not have accepted this fight. This is above Killa-Villa or Crowley level. Far above Clayton level.
Can't wait to see it. I'd salute Bootsie Ennis if he dominates Avanesyan and make it look easy.
Why wouldn't bozy ennis accept this fight?
Clayton was an ibf eliminator fill in cause ortiz and no one else would take the fight. Don't forget ortiz and boots were 1 and 2 in ibf.
I liked the villa fight they were trying to get thurman for that fight date, that's why that fight was put together a month b4 the fight tickets literally went on sale 3 wks before fight date.
I Do like avanysan over crowley.

This opponent made bud worthy of a spence fight right? He could of fought spence, bud, thurman , barrios, ugas, and butiev they seem to not want to fight him. We do we hold them responsible instead of boots?

This is not a solid fight or a good opponent for Boots. He is a sorry C-level Euro fighter period. Just like I told you guys that Virgil Ortiz will get no better fighting inferior competition on Dazn, Boots will regress fighting on that app. Josh Taylor will be next and then Eggs Benn the bumb. He should've never signed with Hearn
Oh fr? So what was ye fight over there at pbc? If they couldn't even offer him fight dates and don't no if amazon is even gonna resign with them. Everyone is leaving pbc for that reason, stanionis is leaving too regardless of where he goes no one is gonna fight boots till he's a big pay opponent, in order for that he needs to stay busy and fresh on people's mind.
