At the Gulf Coast Arena in Biloxi, Mississippi, former champion Danny Green (27-3, 24KOs) stopped Julio Cesar Dominguez (20-5, 14KOs) in five rounds to win the vacant IBO cruiserweight champion. The win may set up a bout with Roy Jones Jr. next.

After getting hit with two big body shots, Green landed a massive right hand that had Dominguez wobbling all over the place in the final minute of the first round. The ref gave him a standing eight count. Dominguez was very cautious in the next couple of rounds as Green stalked and was looking for the knockout.

In the fifth, Green caught Dominguez and put him down. Dominguez was able to make it to his feet but was finished off moments later.
