Junior featherweight Daniel Roman will fight Ramiro Robles on February 12, Thompson Boxing Promotions matchmaker Alex Camponovo told BoxingScene.com.
The 10 round bout will take place at the Doubletree Hotel in Ontario, Calif.
Camponovo, who also serves as Thompson Boxing's General Manager, confirmed an ESPN.com story of middleweight contender Willie Monroe fighting on the card.
Monroe (19-2, 6 KOs), who has not fought since his sixth round technical knockout loss to Gennady Golovkin on May 16, will fight in an eight round tune-up bout.
Roman (17-2, 5 KOs) has won his last nine bouts in a row since a close eight round decision loss to Juan Reyes. In his last bout on September 25, Roman defeated Erik Ruiz by unanimous decision over 10 rounds.
Roman is ranked number 14 by the WBA and will defend his NABA title against Robles.
In his last bout on July 2, Robles (12-4-1, 7 KOs) lost an eight round unanimous decision to Oscar Negrete. The southpaw Robles ha lost his last three bouts in a row, all to unbeaten fighters (Joseph Diaz, Diego De La Hoya, and Negrete).
In six round bouts:
- Unbeaten heavyweight LaRon Mitchell (10-0, 10 KOs), who was a 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials Finalist, will fight Juan Manuel Dominguez Silva (6-2-1, 3 KOs).
- Erick Ituarte (12-1-1, 2 KOs) will fight Jorge Ruiz (9-3, 2 KOs) in a battle of Southern California featherweights.
- Unbeaten middleweight Rudy Puga (6-0, 5 KOs) will square off against Alejandro Osuna (3-1, 2 KOs)
The February 12 card will be the first of 2016 for Thompson Boxing Promotions, which is based in Southern California.
