Junior featherweight contender Daniel Roman will face hard-hitting Marlon Olea tonight, Thompson Boxing Promotions matchmaker Alex Camponovo advised BoxingScene.com Thursday evening.

The eight round bout will take place at the Doubletree Hotel in Ontario, Calif.

Roman (20-2-1, 7 KOs) was originally scheduled to face fringe contender Victor Proa, but Proa was unable to secure a working visa in time to enter the United States for tonight's fight.

Roman, who resides in nearby Garden Grove, has won his last 12 bouts in a span of over three years. He is currently ranked number five by the WBA.

In his last bout on August 26, Roman won a hard-fought 10 round unanimous decision over Enrique Quevedo.

Olea (12-0, 11 KOs) will be fighting for the first time outside his native Colombia. Olea fought twice in October, knocking out putrid competition.

In the eight round co-feature, unbeaten welterweight Giovani Santillan (19-0, 10 KOs) will face Miguel Mendoza (23-9-2, 22 KOs).
