Junior featherweight contender Daniel Roman will fight Enrique Quevedo on August 26, Thompson Boxing Promotions matchmaker Alex Camponovo confirmed to BoxingScene.com.

Roman (19-2-1, 7 KOs) was victorious in his last bout on May 20, knocking out Christian Esquivel in the fifth round in Ontario, Calif.

Roman, who is ranked number eight by the WBA, has won his last 11 bouts in a row. His most notable wins have come against Erik Ruiz and Christopher Martin.

Quevedo (16-7-1, 10 KOs) should provide Roman with a significant test as he has faced the stronger opposition between the two.

Quevedo has not fought since July of 2014. In that bout, Quevedo scored a major upset, stopping former world title challenger Yoandris Salinas. He has lost by decision to unbeaten fighters Edivaldo Ortega and Manuel 'Tino' Avila.

In co-feature action, unbeaten heavyweight and 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials runner-up LaRon Mitchell will face Mario Heredia in an eight round.

Mitchell (13-0, 13 KOs) knocked out Epifanio Mendoza in the third round on June 24, while Heredia (13-2, 11 KOs) was stopped at the hands of Andrey Fedosov in his last bout on June 11.

Also on the card:
Once-beaten heavyweights Scott Alexander (11-1-2, 6 KOs) and Sergio Ramirez (12-1, 7 KOs) will square off in a six round bout.

Welterweight Roberto Arraiza (12-0, 10 KOs) will fight Benjamin Whitaker (11-2, 2 KOs) in an eight round bout.
