MORE LIVE RESULTS TO COME....................

Russia's Nikolay Buzolin shocked previously unbeaten Larry Fryers, stopping the Irishman in the sixth and final round of their junior welterweight bout.

Fryers (6-1, 2 KOs) almost didn?t make it into the second round after getting dropped and badly hurt by Buzolin (6-3-1, 2 KOs) late in the opening frame, but he put on a gutsy effort in getting himself back in the fight against the unorthodox slugger from Utah. But in the sixth, a right hand by Buzolin hurt Fryers, with a second one sending him tumbling to the canvas, prompting referee Eddie Claudio to halt the bout at the 1:12 mark of round six.

Unbeaten Brooklynite Julian Sosa got a scare out of Detroit's Larry Ventus in welterweight action before eking out a majority six-round decision.

Scores were 58-56 twice and 57-57 for Sosa, now 12-0-1 with 4 KOs. Ventus falls to 9-12-1 with 4 KOs.

Sosa and Ventus fought most of the bout at close range in the middle of the ring, with Sosa the busier fighter as Ventus potshotted his foe for much of the night. Sosa dealt well with a cut over his eye from the first round on, upping his work rate accordingly, but Ventus still had enough positive moments to keep it close.

Mexico's Angel Sarinara got the night at Barclays Center started with an upset, as he went over the .500 mark by handing Brooklyn-based Kazakhstan junior welterweight Dimash Niyazov his first pro loss.

Putting the pressure on from the start, Sarinara (8-7-2, 3 KOs) wasn'?t as technically sound as Niyazov, but he made up for it with volume and eventually power, as he dropped Niyazov (13-1-3, 6 KOs) twice in the fifth round to seal the victory, which he earned by scores of 59-52, 59-53 and 58-54.
