UFC president Dana White has continued his heated war of words with Golden Boy Promotions CEO Oscar De La Hoya.
Earlier this week, De La Hoya revealed that he was planning to come out of retirement to fight top opponents in the junior middleweight and middleweight divisions.
The 47-year-old fighter, who won titles in six weight divisions and Olympic gold as an amateur, has been out of the ring since December 2008 - when he was dominated and stopped by Manny Pacquiao.
During Saturday night’s UFC on ESPN 15 post-fight news conference, White held nothing back when he was approached for a reaction to De La Hoya's comeback announcement.
“Cocaine isn’t cheap,” White said. “It’s expensive. You’ve got to make money.”
White was taking a direct shot at De La Hoya's substance abuse issues of the past.
The two executives have been feuding for years, with the rivalry erupting in 2017 - after De La Hoya was verbally trashing Floyd Mayweather's fight with UFC superstar Conor McGregor.
The UFC had partnered with Showtime on the very lucrative pay-per-view event - which generated the second highest buyrate in history.
De La Hoya had openly campaigned for boxing fans to boycott the fight - which created a very deep rift in the one-time friendship with White.
