Dan Azeez: record, next fight and profile →
Top Rank CEO Bob Arum, who promotes WBO, IBF, WBC light heavyweight champion Artur Beterbiev, is open to the possibility of bringing his boxer back to the UK to fight the winner of Saturday's clash between unbeaten contenders Joshua Buatsi and Dan Azeez.
Joshua Buatsi and Dan Azeez are counting down the days to their eagerly anticipated light heavyweight fight. The two South Londoners are friends. They are from the same area. They go to the same places and know the same people.
Olympic bronze medal winner Joshua Buatsi is not bothered by the recent statements from light heavyweight rival Anthony Yarde. The 30-year old Buatsi is scheduled to collide with fellow unbeaten Dan Azeez on Saturday, October 21, in a WBA world title eliminator.
Anthony Yarde has called for an all-British showdown after getting back to winning ways. The Ilford light-heavyweight is a two-time world title challenger and returned to the scene of his last top-level defeat last month.
Anthony Yarde rebounded from his bruising defeat to Artur Beterbiev on Saturday night, breezing past the overmatched Jorge Silva inside two rounds.
Frank Warren believes a fight between Anthony Yarde and Joshua Buatsi is a big one for Britain. The Queensberry head honcho said recently that the Ilford light-heavyweight was “the best guy out there” outside of the two current world champions in the division.
Light heavyweight contender Anthony Yarde expects a showdown with domestic rival Joshua Buatsi to come off in the future. Yarde challenged unified champion Artur Beterbiev earlier this year. He gave Beterbiev all he could handle before suffering a stoppage loss. He will attempt to bounce back next month, when he takes on Ricky Summers.

Joshua Buatsi and Dan Azeez now have a confirmed fight date. Lead event promoter BOXXER confirmed the status on Wednesday, ending weeks of speculation of such a fight gracing the fall calendar.
Top light heavyweight contender Joshua Buatsi expects a lot of fireworks when he collides in the ring with South London rival Dan Azeez. The battle of unbeatens will establish a mandatory challenger to WBA world champion Dmitry Bivol.
