There was nothing between Dalton Smith and Jose Zepeda at the weigh in ahead of their clash at the Sheffield Arena tomorrow night, with both tipping the scales at 139.6lbs.

The two went head-to-head for the final time before fight night, and after weighing in, Smith said: “I’m expecting a lot. I’m expecting a hard fight Jose’s experienced, he’s been there, but I’m the new one coming through and I’m here to prove that.”

The weigh-in took place in front of Smith’s hometown fans in Sheffield, and Dalton added of his growing following: “That’s what we do it for, for the support. They come out in their numbers and they make the noise and we’re all on the journey together. And we’ll have another big night tomorrow.”

Negotiations are now needed behind the scenes after Troy Williamson came in over the super welterweight limit ahead of his fight with Ishmael Davis. Promoter Eddie Hearn expects any issues to be ironed out.
