WBC middleweight champion Miguel Cotto (39-4, 32KOs) has yet to finalize his opponent for June 6th. A few weeks ago, Cotto signed a three fight promotional agreement with Roc Nation Sports.
He has a list of several possible options and plans to review them with his trainer, Freddie Roach. Cotto did not dispute that Cornelius 'K9' Bundradge was a possibility. The IBF 154-pound champion is also being pursued by Top Rank for an HBO date with Timothy Bradley.
Cotto stated during his appearance on A los Golpes: "[I signed] a three fight [deal] with Roc Nation. We have a date of June 6 and right now we are evaluating [the options] and we'll see which is the best opponent for that date. I will speak with Freddie and we will choose the best name. I do not know [who it may be], but I expect it to be for the title. It all depends on how big the opponent [will be in name] and that will define whether this will be a pay-per-view or not."
The four division champion has not fought since beating Sergio "Maravilla" Martinez by TKO last June in New York's Madison Square Garden.
