The British Boxing Board of Control (BBBofC) disallowed the 27-year-old prospect to cut down to the welterweight limit after he was far over the tolerable limit during a mandatory fight-week weight check.

BoxingScene.com has confirmed that Berlanga’s forthcoming clash versus Belfast’s Padraig McCrory will land at Caribe Royale Resort in Orlando, Florida. The bout between unbeaten super middleweights will headline a February 24 DAZN show, as previously reported by Boxing Scene senior writer Keith Idec.

Eddie Hearn, who promotes the Olympic silver medal-winning amateur, was supposed to announce a main event between Cyrus Pattinson and Lewis Ritson for November 11 last Saturday.
