Danish light heavyweight Jeppe Morell, 9-2, has pulled out of the fight against former WBA champ Dmitri Chudinov, 21-3-2, - which was scheduled for November 24 in Copenhagen.
Morell says to media in Denmark that he can´t go through with the fight without correct preparations and this includes good sparring. And the good sparring was booked with Patrick Mendy but he never showed up and now Morell has pulled out.
If Chudinov intends to fight somebody else on the show is an open question.
Tiger Promotions and EC Boxing join, as previously reported, forces for a show in Gdansk (Poland) on December 8. Heavyweight Ali Eren Demirezen, 10-0, 10 KO, takes on Izuagbe Ugonoh, 18-1, 15 KO, in a defence of the WBO Euro title. EC, with Erol Ceylan as promoter, and Tiger, headed by Dariusz Michalcweski will continue to collaborate and stage shows in Germany as well.
Heavyweight Tom Schwarz, 22-0, takes on Christian Lewandowski, 12-2, on November 17 in Dessau (Germany) on the undercard to Robin Krasniqi´s defence of the EBU 175 lb title against Stefan Haertel. Schwarz previously outscored Christian´s younger brother Dennis.
Welterweight prospect and German champ (BDB version) Abass Baraou, 3-0, is in against vastly more experienced Belgian-Armenian Sasha Yengoyan, 41-5-1, December 1 on Team Sauerland´s show in Gummersbach. Baraou is moved fast and won the German title in his second fight and first ten rounder.
Former WBA super middleweight champ Tyron Zeuge is the official challenger for EU champ Ronny Landaeta. It should be noted that Zeuge´s trainer Juergen Braehmer is official challenger for EBU title held by Robin Krasniqi.
Swedish-Ugandan cruiser and 2-time Olympian Kennedy Katende, 4-0, have now signed with Banner Promotions and expect to make his debut for his new promoter early 2019.
Katende was previously with Real Deal Promotions. Katende´s good friend and stablemate at Real Deal, Swedish-Albanian Naim "the Albanian Warrior" Terbunja has also signed with Banner. Terbunja was an excellent amateur, in fact # 1 in Sweden with Badou Jack as # 2 but in the pros Terbunja has for some reasons disappointed. However, in his last fight, Naim, 10-2-1, got a disputed draw against the dangerous Lanell Bellows and showed there is still hope.
