In the co-feature to Paul Williams-Andy Kolle at the Soboba Casino in San Jacinto, California, undefeated and world-ranked heavyweight Cristobal “The Nightmare” Arreola (25-0, 22KOs) retained his WBC Continental Americas Championship with a third-round stoppage over Israel Carlos “King Kong” Garcia (19-2, 11 KOs).
Arreola was out of shape, 20-pounds heavier than his last fight, but he came out swinging from the very first round. He came out with hooks, rights and lead multiple combinations. Garcia offered very little in return but he took the punches well. Arreola continued the assault for the next two rounds, finally forcing the ref to step in after three left hooks had Garcia out on his feet against the ropes.
