The Real Boxing fight show, pre-planned by flamboyant Russian promoter Vladimir Hryunov for this coming Thursday at Dynamo Arena in Krylatskoye, Moscow, Russia, has suffered its first notable loss. Khabib Allakhverdiev (19-1, 9 KOs), a former WBA light welterweight champion, was forced to withdraw from his scheduled tune-up bout versus Dominican Julio De Jesus (22-1, 21 KOs) due to illness. He is believed to come back against the same opponent no later than February 2015.

“We have been planning his fight for this show in December”, said Hryunov. “Unfortunately, he’d got ill so we were forced to write the fight off the card. He will fight De Jesus no later than the end of February. We continue to work together and to move up to the world titles. Khabib is one of the best fighters in the world, and my responsibility is to help him along this way”.

Yesterday participants of the tournament have taken part in an open workout. Showing their skills in front of local reporters were Alexander Ustinov (29-1, 21 KOs), who is to face American veteran journeyman Chauncy Welliver in a heavyweight special attraction, Ben McCulloch (14-0, 11 KOs), and WBA interim middleweight champion Dmitry Chudinov. Chudinov has replaced his brother Fedor (11-0, 9 KOs), who is McCulloch’s opponent for the coming collision for a vacant WBA interim super middleweight championship.

“Fedor is presently in Serpukhov, quite away from Moscow, finishing his intense preparations for the coming fight. He was unable to attend due to his training regimen so I’m here to replace him. Fedor is in his best shape and I’m absolutely sure he will win on Thursday”, commented his elder brother.
