EC Boxing’s newly signed heavyweight Mahmoud "Manuel" Charr has made it clear once again that he is willing to fight the big names of the division.

In recent social media posts he offered a clash with former unified world champion Andy Ruiz.

Charr, who holds the WBA's "regular" title, hopes his status with the World Boxing Association will can entice Ruiz into a fight.

Ruiz has been out of the ring since December, when he was outboxed over twelve rounds by Anthony Joshua in the highly anticipated rematch in Saudi Arabia.

"Andy Ruiz - I'll give you the opportunity to become world champion again. Accept my challenge and do not hide behind your manager or promoter. Be a man and fight me, I’ll come to the US or Mexico, I guarantee you that this will be a real battle.“

With promoter Ceylan from Hamburg, Germany at his side, Charr is hoping that fights with the top talents at heavyweight will become possible.

Ceylan, who started EC Boxing a decade ago, has made a name for himself in the business. Apart from Charr, he also works with boxers such as Christian Hammer, IBO welterweight champion Sebastian Formella and light heavyweight contender Igor Mikhalkin.

Ceylan wants his new client to be involved in massive events.

"Mahmoud wants to fight everyone and we are willing to negotiate with everyone. It’s time for a big heavyweight showdown," Ceylan said.

Ruiz, who recently aligned himself with highly-rated trainer Eddy Reynoso, would be a huge task for the man from Cologne. For a variety of reasons, Charr has been out of the ring since a November 2017 decision win over Alexander Ustinov.
