The "regular" featherweight world champion of the World Boxing Association, Celestino "Pelenchín" Caballero (35-4, 23 KOs), arrived to Japan at the Narita International Airport near Tokyo. He defends his title for the first time on December 31st in Yokohama against WBA #8 ranked Satoshi "Bazooka" Hosono (21-1, 15 KOs), 27-years-old and a member of the Ohashi Boxing Gym in the city of Yokohama.

There will be another world championship fight in the co-feature, with undefeated WBA super featherweight champion Takashi Uchiyama AMB (17-0, 14 KOs) facing Mexico's Jorge interim "Coloradito" Solis (40-3-2, 29 KOs).

Speaking with Japanese journalists at the airport, Caballero laughed at Hosono's nickname of "Bazooka" and vowed to demolish the Japanese puncher in the ring. The two trainers, Jeff Mayweather (uncle of Floyd Mayweather Jr.) and Miguel Callist, were at Caballero's side.

For Panama's Caballero, this will be his second fight in Asia. He fought in Thailand in 2006 when he scored a valuable TKO win over Somsak Sithchatchawal in the third round to capture the WBA super bantamweight crown.
