Huck fought Alexander Povetkin for the WBA standard heavyweight title in 2012, but lost a close call to a champ who was obviously not in the best condition.

The long awaited comeback of 38-year old former WBA and WBC super middleweight champ Mikkel Kessler is on hold. Earlier this fall Kessler was hit by a case borrelia and the ex-champ told TV 2 Sporten in Denmark he is only in light training and is still not fully recovered. Ricard Olsen has announced his retirement from boxing following some knee problems.

Welterweight world champion Cecilia Braekhus (32-0, 9 KOs) stopped Mikaela Lauren (29-5, 13 KOs) in the sixth round to retain her WBA, WBC, IBF and WBO belts on Saturday night at the Oslofjord Convention Center in Stokke, Norway.
Mikaela Lauren was unable to repeat her stunt from earlier this week, as world champion Cecilia Braekhus was ready with a piece of cloth to cover her mouth. Both made weight for their scheduled rematch tomorrow night. Braekhus weighed in at 65.8 kg (145.06-pounds), while Lauren tapped in to 66.1 kg (145.7-pounds). Braekhus had previously dominated Laruen in their first meeting.
