It´s not a done deal, contracts are not signed and it´s not official yet - but heavyweights Carlos Takam (23-3-1) and Marcin Rekowski (18-4) could be on for Macao on January 29.

WBC Silver heavyweight champion Johann "Reptile" Duhaupas (34-3) will defend the title against Carlos Takam (33-3-1) January 28 but where isn´t set yet. Both Duhaupas and Takam are based in France but purse bids for the right to stage the fight were won by Italian promoter OPI since 82 (formerly OPI 2000), who promote Takam.

At the WBC's official purse bid for Alexander Povetkin-Bermane Stiverne - which was held on Friday at the agency's offices in New York City - there was another purse bid which took place for the WBC Silver heavyweight title held by Johann Duhaupas - and mandatory challenger Carlos Takam.

The return of Cuban heavyweight Luis Ortiz (25-0, 22 KO) is going to land in Monaco, as part of a big show on November 12th. As part of the card, Jason Sosa will defend his WBA super featherweight title against Stephen Smith, and a WBO super middleweight eliminator where Arthur Abraham battles Martin Murray in a rematch.

New Zealand heavyweight Joseph Parker is battling an elbow issue he believes reduced his power to 75 percent for his win over Carlos Takam.

Boxer Joseph Parker's points victory over Carlos Takam has left one leading contender distinctly underwhelmed and clamouring for a shot at the New Zealander.

Joseph Parker's opponent in this IBF heavyweight title eliminator, the 35-year-old Carlos Takam, represented a big step up in competition as well as in scheduled distance. Thanks in part to Takam's inability to maintain a consistent pace, especially in rounds 10 and 11 after Takam closed the connect gap to 89-87 overall and 75-67 power, Parker was able to navigate his way to a slim but deserved decision (116-112 twice, 115-113).

Joseph Parker officially moved into title contention after surviving a stiff test from veteran contender Carlos Takam in their heavyweight title eliminator Saturday evening at Vodafone Events Centre in Manukau City, New Zealand. Scores were 116-112 (twice) and 115-113 in favor of Parker, the unbeaten local hero who is now the mandatory challenger to the heavyweight title held by England's Anthony Joshua.

Veteran boxing trainer Kevin Barry believes he has someone "special" on his hands in Joseph Parker but admits it will take a special performance to see off Carlos Takam and set up a world title challenge.

Anthony Joshua's promoter Eddie Hearn is eager to see if Joseph Parker is the "real deal" when the rising Kiwi heavyweight takes on Carlos Takam. Parker and Takam square off in south Auckland on Saturday night in an IBF eliminator.
