Eddy Reynoso, the manager and trainer of WBC middleweight world champion Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez, says a potential rematch with Miguel Cotto would only take place on the Mexican superstar's terms.

Last November at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Canelo won a twelve round unanimous decision over Cotto to capture his WBC title. The bout took place at a catch-weight of 155-pounds

The negotiations for the contest weren't easy and Canelo had to bend to several of Cotto's demands to make the fight take place. There was no rematch clause in their bout agreement.

Canelo has a return date set for May 7th as part of Cinco De Mayo weekend. Cotto's plans have not been determined but his trainer, Freddie Roach, believes his boxer was robbed of a victory and he's been demanding a rematch.

When the fight was made last year, Roach told BoxingScene.com that he would bet his two homes on a Cotto victory. Reynsoso would up that bet, offering up four homes - not only that Canelo will win but predicting a victory by knockout.

"After the first fight, Saul became number on. And if a rematch is given, or whoever wants to fight with Saul - it must be done on his terms. In the first fight (with Cotto), there were some things we did not like but we agreed to them. We were focused on training. If the rematch happens, I think right now it will be easier," Reynoso told ESPN Deportes.

"Undoubtedly this time he knocks (Cotto out), if that fight comes together. I do not get to bet two houses as Freddie Roach told us he would. I will bet four (houses) that Saul knocks Cotto out, but let's see what happens. I do not know if he is (our next opponent), but we are here to fight anyone."

Their fight generated the highest pay-per-view buyrate of the year (outside of Mayweather/Pacquiao) with 900,000 purchases.
