WBA super welterweight interim champion Brian Carlos Castano will return to France in March, writes, and defend the title against former EBU titleholder Cedric Vitu. Vitu won an IBF eliminator in May and has been waiting since then for his chance.

"I will be fighting in March with the Frenchman Cedric Vitu. I want to put on a couple of nice fights for the year coming up and the first should be with Cedric Vitu," Castano said to Telam.

Back in July, Castano got his biggest win to date when he defeated Michel Soro in Evian, France.

"As for the best moment of this year, it was the fight with Soro. That was until now the most epic moment of my career, a hard fight where I then had to fight with the judges over the issue of the scorecards. They wanted to turn them over in favor of the opponent, the local boxer, but thank God I won and I could retain the belt."
