On July 15th WBC super featherweight champion Miguel "El Alacrán" Berchelt (31-1, 28 KOs) will defend his belt for the first time against former champion Takashi Miura (31-3).

The fight will headline an HBO televised tripleheader that will take place in the Los Angeles area.

Two months after Berchelt's fight, the most highly anticipated fight of the year will take place when Canelo Alvarez challenges Gennady Golovkin for the IBO, IBF, WBA, WBC middleweights titles at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Golovkin has opened up as the slight betting favorite but Berchelt feels the fight will come down to whichever fighter has the best game plan.

"Well in my opinion Canelo-GGG will be a great fight. All of the fans have been waiting for these two great fighters to get in the ring and I believe whoever prepares himself the best and has the better strategy will come out the winner," Berchelt told BoxingScene.com.

As for his own card which also features WBA super featherweight champion Jezreel Corrales facing upset specialist Robinson Castellanos and top rated light heavyweights Joe Smith Jr. and Sullivan Barrera squaring off, Berchelt said fans should definitely come out and support the card.

"The fans shouldn't miss my fight on July 15th at the Forum in Los Angeles. I promise that the fans in attendance will leave the arena very satisfied after watching a great night of fights," said Berchelt.
