Waiting to know the date and venue of their mandatory showdown, Mexicans Miguel Berchelt and Miguel Roman promised fireworks.

And according to Berchelt, there is a possibility that the battle for the super featherweight title of the World Boxing Council will take place in the United States and get carried HBO.

Berchelt, who captured the WBC title in January 2017 with a TKO of Francisco Vargas, was ordered by the sanctioning body to make a defense against Roman.

In the last few weeks, the two Mexican punches have traded some harsh words between them.

Berchelt expects a fight filled with high drama. He promises to batter and knock Roman out.

"Two Mexicans in the ring always give a good show. I think we're both going through a great moment, surely his motivation to be world champion is real high, but I'm confident in the ring. I know how to move, I can fight going to the ring front and back," Berchelt said to ESPN Deportes.

"I think that this fight will undoubtedly be on American soil. We know that our promoters are going to start talks and they are reaching an agreement, but I'm sure the audience will win."

The fight is being targeted for a date in September or October, likely in the United States.

Roman accepted that Berchelt is a tough champion, but he sees some mistakes that can be used to dethrone him.

"I know Berchelt is tough, but nothing is impossible. What I'm looking forward to is my chance, he's talking a lot, but he thinks I'm handicapped and I'm not. I'm going to go for the knockout, he has a lot of mistakes and this will be a fight on another level," Roman said.

"I agree, whenever two Mexicans come together there are great fights and this will be no exception. We just hope they give us a date, but I'm ready for whenever they tell me."
