Former super middleweight champion/light heavyweight champion Badou Jack (22-1-2) isn't worried about facing Adonis Stevenson in Canada.
Stevenson (29-1) will defend his WBC light heavyweight strap against Jack on May 19th at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Canada.
The fight will headline a split-site Showtime doubleheader that will also air the Gary Russell-Joseph Diaz fight from Maryland. Russell's WBC featherweight title will be on the line.
The 34-year-old Jack has been the victim of dubious decisions in the past but insists that he isn't worried about fighting Stevenson in Toronto. Stevenson was born in Haiti but has lived in Montreal for several years.
"I have been robbed a couple of times so I am used to it. Whatever happens I am going to leave it in God's hands. I am just going to go in there and do my best," said Jack who has draws against James DeGale and Marco Antonio Periban in fights that many observers felt he should have gotten the nod on the scorecards.
He also had a controversial draw against Lucian Bute that was later overturned to a disqualification victory for the Mayweather Promotions' fighter when it was revealed that Bute failed a doping a test.
Jack knows that the judging is out of his hands so he just concentrates on controlling the elements that he can control and is confident that he will leave the ring with another belt in his possession.
"If you are world champion and you get a draw you keep your belt but still, you have been training for so long and you risk your life in there and they rob you that is bad but it is what it is. Everything happens for a reason and now we are here," said Jack.
