Azteca Mexico has been putting on great fights for a long time but Azteca America has just put together it's first major card of 2017 and it's biggest boxing card ever.

Not only that but Azteca America has also secured the rights to air boxing's biggest reality show Knockout.

Knockout has featured legends and champions such as Roy Jones Jr, Shane Mosley, Zab Judah, Robert Guerero, Ruben Guerrero, Floyd Mayweather Sr. and the list goes on and On.

Knockout has been called the American Idol of boxing and this week in Las Vegas sparks were flying. The show is currently filming in Sin City and during a radio interview on Eric B's show on 88.1 FM, a heated argument between last year's host of Knockout Roy Jones Jr. and one of this year's participants Ronald Johnson broke out. From the sound of it, it appeared likely that they would clash on the loaded card which includes Hector Camacho Jr., Rosalinda Rodriguez, and Johnson. There are also rumors of Zab Judah and other big names entering the squared circle on the Knockout Season 3 fight card.

After the radio interview, Johnson told us that cooler heads prevailed and that, "Roy is my man. He is the greatest fighter in history and I'm still a fan but it's time to be a champ and I will be one with the help of Roy Jones as a trainer.  We spoke again this morning and we will both be in the ring on May 4th but in the same corner.  I respect and love the champ and he can do for me what he was doing for (Jean) Pascal and I will be champ."

Other notes on the show:

Hector Camacho Jr. has expressed that he wants to face Omar Chavez and after speaking on the set with Zanfer's Juan Carlos this week, that fight is likely getting done at a later date. For his next fight, the son of legendary Hector Camacho Sr. may actually face MMA legend Nate Diaz who is looking to enter the boxing world. .

6-time world champion Zab Judah may also return that night and the show's executive producer Steven Marcano said, "Zab's my brother I'm meeting with him Thursday to work it out."

Rosalinda Rodriguez and Chastity Martin will also appear on the card against opponents to be determined.

Azteca America has hit the ground running for their first card and seem to being running head first at the major boxing networks. Their overall goal appears to be more than just becoming the leader in the Hispanic market but a competitor to all outlets in boxing. They are on their way to having a big debut and there is still a lot more being added.

Knockout returns on March 24th, 2017 on Azteca America Networt, the new leader in Bilingual Programming.
