With the dust settling on the boxing calendar and plenty of big fights being consummated( first and foremost the May 2nd showdown between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather) it's still not clear just when and where WBC middleweight titlist, Miguel Cotto, will return to action.

Cotto fought last June where he dominated Sergio Martinez over 10 rounds at the Madison Square Garden in New York. He hasn't fought since. Recently, promoter Bob Arum of Top Rank - which has a working relationship with the Puerto Rican star - told the El Nuevo Dia that the three names being discussed are Tim Bradley, Brandon Rios and Cornelius Bundrage.

It's believed that the 34-year-old Cotto will return in June. Many assumed it would be on June 13th in New York on the weekend of the Puerto Rican Day Parade, which Cotto has turned into a regular destination for fights at the Garden.

But word is that Cotto could be returning at a later date.

"At this particular point we haven't focused on it," said Arum to BoxingScene.com.

"I think one of the things is that Cotto wanted to make sure that Freddie (Roach) was available to him full-time and not have to divide his attention with Pacquiao, would be his priority because his fight would be coming up. So if the Pacquiao fight is May 2nd, he'll have plenty of time along with Freddie to prepare for a fight.

"That's why he wanted it in the latter part of June, rather than early June."

Whether Cotto's next bout would be pay-per-view or on premium cable, the veteran promoter told Boxingscene.com - "It always depends on the opponent."

On June 13th, the UFC is running a pay-per-view event, which would make it problematic if Cotto were to do a pay-per-view fight on this date.
