The beautiful female Mexican fighter, Zulina "La Loba" Muñoz, announced that on March 2 in Rio Grande, Tamaulipas, Mexico, she will make the first defense of the WBC super flyweight world crown against Tenkai Tsunami from Japan in a spectacular boxing card led by Canelo Promotions.
According to her coach, Don Mauro Ayala, "La Loba" is only one pound above the top of her division, so that by March 2, Zulina will be in good condition for the bout.
"Winning the WBC world crown was the best thing that ever happened to me, but my desire is to stay champion for a long time. I want to further develop my boxing, because as I struggled to get to the title, my challengers will look to do the same," said the champion.
Muñoz (36-1-2, 24 KOs), takes her record of 22 fights without a loss to next week's fight. She won by unanimous desicion the WBC super flightweight title on November 24 from Maribel "La Pantera" Ramirez in Mexico City.
The Japanese Tenkai Tsunami (18-6-0, 7 KOs), suffered three losses last year, most recently against the popular Mexican Mariana "La Barbie" Juarez on December 15 in Jalisco, Mexico. She also failed against Janeth Perez and Japanese fighter Naoko Yamaguchi.
