Zulina "La Loba" Muñoz recovered from a knockdown in the second round to dish out a lesson with her left hand, as she defeated Kandy Sandoval, who also visited the canvas in the first round as the victim of an overhand left. Muñoz is from San Vicente Chicoloapan, a State of Mexico.

Zulina Muñoz was confirmed as the queen of the Mexican bantamweight division by fighting Sandoval round by round with powerful punches. In the ninth round, Sandoval from Xochimilco in Mexico, made a sensational rally in what was interpreted as a desperate final attempt to win the WBC bantamweight silver crown.

The judges' scores were as follows - 96-92, 97-91 and 96-92 - all for the new WBC silver bantamweight female world champion, Zulina "La Loba" Muñoz, and now she´s only one step away from the absolute world title.
