Max Alperovich, the head of Fight Promotions has informed BoxingScene.com that they have inked heavyweight Zhan Kosobutskiy to a co-promotional deal that will include DiBella Entertainment. Fight Promotions and DBE have several fighters together, most notably rising middleweight, Ivegen Khytrov. Kosobutskiy won numerous tournaments and medals as an amateur.

"He's coming over next week," said Alperovich on Wednesday evening. "He's going to hold his training camp in Brooklyn, New York. He's going to be trained by his father and co-trained by Andre Rozier and Gary Stark (Sr.)"

The 27-year old who hails from Kazakhstan is slated to make his pro debut on March 28th at the Resorts World Casino in Queens.

When asked if Kosobutskiy could possibly be signed to Al Haymon, like Khytrov was recently, Alperovich answered - "If he's good enough, absolutely. It would be entirely up to Zhan. However, he is close to a lot of the boxers that work for Al and is aware of the opportunities that Al has created for them."
