Zewski No Longer in Play For March 14th HBO Slot

There was talk of having undefeated welterweight Mikael Zewski be a part of HBO's broadcast from the Bell Centre in Montreal on March 14th that was headlined by the light heavyweight showdown between Sergey Kovalev and Jean Pascal with a co-feature that had heavyweights Steve Cunningham and Vyacheslav Glazkov.

But alas, this will not come to fruition.

Zewski's manager, Cameron Dunkin explained to BoxingScene.com on Thursday - "Just a few things that happened: the money wasn't real good and we weren't settled on an opponent that we were all happy with. So we're just going to move him on and put him on another show.

"And then hopefully after that we'll get something going for him soon."

Placing the 25-year-old Zewski - who has a record of 26-0 (20 KO's) - on this card made sense since he hails from nearby Trois-Rivières, Quebec.
