IBF junior welterweight champion Zab Judah (41-6, 28KOs) is hoping that Juan Manuel Marquez (52-5, 38KOs) decides to move up in weight to pursue a fourth divisional title. During a recent interview, Marquez expressed his desire to become the first Mexican boxing to win a fourth divisional title. Marquez is trying to land a trilogy date with WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao. If the Pacquiao fight falls through, Marquez is willing to fight Judah.
"I think it's a fight that boxing needs. To have Zab Judah or Marquez fight a regular guy, it would be asburd for boxing. I'm very much looking forward to Marquez taking this challenge. He is a great fighter and I think this is what boxing needs. I think that we need each other. I'm looking forward to fighting a fighter with a great, big name and he's looking forward to being a world champion. With the will of God, it should happen. I'm just happy to be back in this position again," Judah told BoxingScene.com's Ryan Burton.
