Lightweight contender Yvan Mendy might be a win or two away from fighting for a world title belt.

Mendy might receive that opportunity should he come out victorious tonight against Jesus Arevalo in a 12 round bout at the Palais des Sport Marcel Cerdan in Levallois-Perret, France.

Both fighters weighed in at the lightweight limit of 135 pounds at Thursday's weigh-in.

Mendy (39-4-1, 18 knockouts), who resides in Paris, fought two months ago, winning a one-sided decision over Florian Montels.

The 32-year-old Mendy, who is ranked number two by the WBC, has won his last nine bouts.

Arevalo (25-2-1, 15 KOs), who resides in Cabo San Lucas, Baja California, Mexico, lost his last bout by decision to former world titleholder Cristian Mijares on Oct. 7.

Heavyweight contender Johann Duhaupas (36-4, 23 KOs) will square off against Newfel Ouatah (15-1, 8 KOs) in a 12 round bout.

Oscar Rivas (21-0, 16 KOs) faces Gabriel Enguema (8-3, 5 KOs) in a 10 round heavyweight bout.

Unbeaten and 2016 French Olympian Christian Mbilli (6-0, 6 KOs) will square off against Robert Swierzbinski (18-6-2, 3 KOs) in an eight round super middleweight bout.
